Has Paul Myners seen AmazonBay???
The following quote from his editorial entitled “The Square Mile must fight to stay successful” published (behind a paywall sorry) in the FT last Thursday might lead one to assume he is a regular Park Paradigm reader:
“Over the next 20 years the City will adjust to cyber trading platforms, possibly hosted by the likes of Ebay and Google. Investment institutions will aggressively pursue direct access to liquid markets, wherever they exist. Risk capital to facilitate trading will be offered by new investors, including hedge funds.”
Perhaps its just serendipity. Great minds and all that! And if he wasn’t already a reader hopefully this post will find him and he’ll add Park Paradigm to his blogroll.
Joking aside, if you haven’t read it and have access to the FT archives it’s worth a look. His synopsis is clear and concise and I would endorse most of his conclusions.
